NEW YORK, NY – September 25, 2018: TITAN Group will return for the second consecutive year as an exhibitor and educational presenter during the 2018 Veterinary Managers Hospital Association (“VHMA”) Annual Conference. The VHMA 2018 Annual Conference will be held October 18-20, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD.

“Many practices are only partially aware of the risks associated with handling controlled substances,” states TITAN Founder & CEO, Jack Teitelman. “Our goal is to educate veterinary professionals about the internal and external threats that exist and best practices for ongoing compliance.”

TITAN will be exhibiting in Booth #30 during the conference, where a team of experts will be available to answer questions concerning compliance, security and anti-diversion tactics. Booth visitors will also have the chance to take TITAN’s Risk Assessment, an interactive “risk assessor” designed to assess a facility’s level of risk based on key qualifying factors.

On Friday October 19th, TITAN, will present during the 2:45pm – 4:15pm education sessions, Track B, on Safeguarding Your Controlled Substances. The session presented exclusively for VHMA will offer attendees guidance concerning proper protocols, security, storage, record keeping, and hiring/training of personnel to safeguard controlled substances from theft/diversion, as well as how to meet the DEA requirements. Jack Teitelman and Andy Eiseman, both retired DEA Special Supervisory Agent, will provide real-life examples of the dos and don’ts of preventing your practice from being exposed to loss, theft or government fines. 16 Continuing Education Hours are available to VHMA 2018 attendees through the educational sessions, with 17 hours for CVPMs.
